Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 is pleased to announce that 44 students from Woodstock and Woodstock North high schools’ Class of 2025 were designated as Illinois State Scholars.

Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 had the highest 8th-grade reading scores in McHenry County and high reading scores across grade levels when compared with other Illinois schools, according to recently released 2024 Illinois School Report Card data.
Overall, Creekside Middle School earned an Exemplary designation from the Illinois State Board of Education for the second year in a row while Northwood Middle School wasn’t far behind with the second highest eighth-grade literacy scores.
A total of 23 Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 student musicians were selected to represent District 7 at Illinois Music Education Association festivals held this fall.
The students selected represented Creekside and Northwood Middle schools and Woodstock and Woodstock North High schools from band, choir and orchestra programs.
Making good on its purpose to enrich students’ lives, the Woodstock District 200 Education Foundation awarded more than $28,000 to fund Impact Grant proposals from Woodstock Community Unit School District educators.
Woodstock High School senior Ian Hansen has been selected as a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist.
